Hello everyone,
As part of my degree, I am researching the idea of a Crowdsourced Composition, where people vote on samples that I provide, and the public is an integral part of the compositional process. Here's a bit of information:
"Become part of a new and exciting project, where you help compose a piece of music by simply voting for your favourite sample twice each week. In the first week, you will choose one of the samples you like the most to vote for on Wednesday, and on Saturday the favourite sample will be altered slightly, when you have a chance to vote for your favourite again. Voting only takes a few minutes (the time it would take to listen to each sample) and will make a difference in the compositional process. The samples are grouped into three separate categories:
Classical (Starts with two samples)
Electronic (Starts with two samples)
Popular (Starts with one sample)
After every vote, there will be a winner and a loser, the category that the winner is in will gain one sample (maximum of three samples) and the category that the loser is in will lose one (minimum of one sample).
It's really important that you all get involved in the project as it is part of my research. You will play an integral part in the composition process, you will be involved from the start, and you will see the way a composition evolves, and you will influence it.
You can read the blog here:

The voting has now started, and I would appreciate it if people got involved as it will help me greatly. Everything is up on the blog that you need to participate.
Thanks,
Jonathan / Naemeth
P.S. I've cleared this up with ant and he says it's okay to post.
